Lime Ridge Fire 7/10/2003

Several oak trees planted by the Walnut Creel Open Space Foundation were destroyed. Here the proterctive Tubex around a young tree is withered although the leaves of the tree are still green.	Fire workers have to work hard to take care of some hot spots under a blue oak.
The protective uniforms must be very hot... temperature is in the high nineties.	Note the Tubex to the right of the firemen where a Coast Live Oak survives unharmed.
