Search for Golden Eagles Leads to More

These photos were taken by Don Jedlovec, who went for a walk recently with Walnut Creek resident and fellow nature lover Robert Bickel in search of the Golden Eagle chick. Little did they know the elusive skills possessed by the noble birds. But there was more to be found. See their story in this gallery...

We entered Shell Ridge at the Marshall entrance next to the Indian Valley School. Shortly after we walked up the trail along Briones - Mt. Diablo trail we saw a White-Tailed Kite on a hunt arising from the grass with a vole in its claws.
