Foundation Projects and ActivitiesThe Walnut Creek Open Space Foundation works to restore natural habitat in the open space. Click on the project name to see more information on the project Oak Restoration ProjectQuail Habitat Restoration Project Riparian Habitat (no information) Native Grass Restoration Project Heather Farm Park Nature Areas Restoration Project In addition, Foundation volunteers assist in city sponsored events such as Heritage Day at Borges Ranch, the Harvest Festival at Howe Homestead and the annual Trail Day event to restore open space trails. Click here if you would like to contact us to volunteer for one of our projects. You can also help by joining the Foundation. We'll keep you informed about events in the open space.
